Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for one nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor position of English Education in the Department of English, beginning August 2018. Ideal candidates will have successful experience in secondary school teaching, student teaching supervision, and instruction of English education methodology courses. Additionally, ideal candidates will have expertise in linguistics instruction in secondary English classrooms, new literacies (including media literacy, online/digital technologies, and technology integration in the classroom), graduate-level instruction, assessment (both candidate assessment and program-level assessment), and an established interest in global initiatives and diversity in English education. National Writing Project experience is a plus. Faculty at Kennesaw State University teach in a variety of classroom environments including face-to-face, online, and hybrid.

Required Education, qualifications, and experience:
An earned doctorate in English Education or a closely related field, or its foreign equivalent, is required. ABD will be considered, but the doctoral degree must be completed at the time of employment. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered. Ideal candidates will have successful experience in secondary school teaching, student teaching supervision, and instruction of English education methodology courses.
