The Enrollment Management and Retention Division - Graduate Enrollment Management, Graduate Student Assistantships and Fellowships, the Office of the Registrar, the Office of Student Financial Assistance, Undergraduate Admissions, Strategic Enrollment Initiatives, International Enrollment, and Enrollment Retention - works to enroll, retain, and graduate an ever more passionate, academically talented and diverse student body. The Senior Assistant Director, Undergraduate Admissions - Northern California/Pacific Northwest Region reports to the Associate Director for Regional Programs and manages admissions activities for norther California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. With increasing inquiries, applications, and enrolled students in recent years, northern California and the Pacific Northwest have emerged as a primary market for GW and we are seeking an accomplished admission professional who will build upon this success. Outstanding territory management and relationship building skills are the highest priorities of the position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Represents GW to prospective student and their families;
-Attends college fairs, evening programs, and professional conferences;
-Visits high schools;
-Organizes regional information sessions and yield events;
-Evaluates freshman and transfer applications;
-Develops and maintains professional relationship with key secondary school constituents;
-Works with alumni and parent volunteers to support GW's enrollment objectives.
-Other duties as assigned.

This is a 12 month position during which time the Senior Assistant Director, Undergraduate Admissions - Northern California/Pacific Northwest Region is expected to travel extensively throughout the territory and to campus (GW) several times throughout the year.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 3 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications:

This is a 100% telework position, requires incumbent to worked from a home office in the Pacific Northwest or Northern California area. Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Knowledge of trends and issues in higher education and experience working in an enrollment office.
-Must be highly flexible and able to work in a face-paced, high-energy environment that emphasizes collaboration and measurable outcomes.
-Demonstrate excellent project management skills, the ability to transform ideas into solutions, and excellent attention to detail.
-Demonstrate strong communication skills including oral presentation, written and interpersonal.
-Experience evaluating admissions applications for admission in a selective university environment
-As a global university, the office is interested in candidates that possess language skills beyond English.
-Demonstrate a commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
