Scope of Responsibilities
Assist the Associate Director with the overall management and leadership of the UCAE Center for Leadership Development and Social Action (LDSA) to include key programmatic and educational initiatives, student and student organization advising, office management, staff and student employee supervision and advancement of University-wide leadership efforts. Serve as a consultant for Campus Life departments in the execution of leadership assessment efforts on behalf of the Division of Student Affairs.
Train, advise and supervise LDSA student employees in effectively moving the Center and its programs forward, establishing a social media/marketing presence, and customer service. Responsible for recruitment and evaluation of student employees 25
Responsible for supervision and professional development of Student Development Coordinator.
Oversee their project completion, evaluation, and support their professional progress.
Supervise a Graduate Assistant in their role. 25
Plan, execute and assess key leadership development and educational initiatives including women's leadership and student organizations. Design programs that push forward the mission of the Center. Design marketing strategies forthe Center's programs and keep website up to date. 15
Manage daily operations of LDSA Center space in consultation with Associate Director and UCAE colleagues through interpretation of departmental policies and procedures. Maintain room reservation process and order supplies. 15
Develop, monitor and analyze annual operating budgets including, but not limited to, projecting expenditures from allocated student fee monies and multiple endowments. 10
Serve on departmental, Division and University-wide committees as assigned, including the Leadership Educator's Collaborative. Attend meetings in the place of the Associate Director when needed. 5 Perform other duties as assigned, including administrative projects and team assignments. 5
Master'sdegree required in Higher Education, Student Affairs or related field ofstudy.
Work generally requires a minimum of two years of experience in student activities, advising, student organizational support, and program planning at the undergraduate and/or graduate level with progressive levels of responsibilities.
Prior experience managing full-time and student employees required.
Must be familiar with leadership development and service/social action programming. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
