The School of Pharmacy at the University of Connecticut seeks candidates for a full time Program Assistant 1 (UCP 3) position in the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs office. Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean, this position will provide assistance in the academic affairs of the school.


Management of the ExamSoft program, support faculty and students with ExamSoft needs, coordinate the academic support resources for students in the school, assemble and manage data, write and review reports, assist with school's committee operations related to academic affairs, assist with meeting planning, assist the Associate Dean with tasks related to assessment of school compliance with Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) standards 2016, maintain office files in accordance with university and office policies, perform general office support functions. Additional duties include scheduling of courses and classroom space and Student Evaluation of Teaching requests.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of administrative experience
  • Ability to independently resolve problems and exercise judgment regarding administrative detail and procedures
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in scheduling events
  • Experience managing multiple tasks while complying with due dates
  • High-level of proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform data entry, data management, and recordkeeping

  • At least 3 years of administrative experience
  • One year or more experience in an office with direct student contact
  • Experience preparing, administering and scoring exams, and report functions in ExamSoft
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and Astra applications
  • Experience processing Student Evaluation of Teaching requests
  • Experience working in a student support and academic services higher education environment using applicable policies, procedures, guidelines and systems.
  • Experience managing course sites on HuskyCT
  • Experience with Core Technology suite of products (CoreELMS, CoreCompMS, MyCred)
  • Knowledge of ACPE standards 2016 and experience with documentation of compliance with regulations/standards


This position is a full time, 12 month, permanent position. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes full benefits.
