Position Summary:


Teach wide range of courses in communications with emphasis in strategic communication; advise / mentor communication majors, and other duties outlined in the faculty handbook.



  • Successful candidates will teach a range of courses with emphasis on strategic communication such as Public Relations Advanced Reporting and Writing, Publication Concepts and Publication Relations Problem Solving.
  • Course content will include (but not limited to) digital journalism, social media, and other courses could include digital media, research, writing, international public relations, and [or strategic public relations.
  • Applicants with technical and research experiences in public relations and strategic communications are preferred. 
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Chair, Dean or Provost.        


Candidates for this position must have


  • Ph.D. in mass communications in strategic communications, public relations, or related field.
  • A proven track record of inspiring, guiding, and mentoring others to reach their full potential.
  • High expectations for students. Successful college teaching experience is preferred.
