Quality Assurance Associate I

The Quality Assurance department is looking for two Quality Assurance Associate I to support our QA Department in the development and maintenance of the Quality System. JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Associate I will be primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of the quality system, under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager. We currently have two openings in the following:

Quality Associate I - A

PERFORMANCE DIMENSIONS, TASKS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain SOP and forms
  • Internal Auditing
  • Assist and maintain Corrective Action and Preventative Action program
  • Maintain Customer Cares (complaints) for the Quality Assurance Department
  • Auditing manufacturing activities
  • Assisting in quality system development
  • Producing trend reports from quality data

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry ,Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field
  • Or Equivalent Experience

WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Experience working in a GMP environment preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • 3+ years experience in the manufacturing industry preferred

OTHER KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Good human relations and oral/written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, follow and help refine procedures with minimal oversight
  • Strong analytical / problem solving skills
  • Function as part of a multi-discipline project team
  • Works creatively and effectively and adopts hands-on focus - including managing subordinates interactively on a daily basis
  • Self-starter with willingness to expand expertise and skill base
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently

SPECIAL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Manual keypad entry and accurate reading of data from digital display
  • Must be able to understand and abide by SOP's for quality control testing
  • Must be able to perform mathematical calculations on basic dilutions and conversions
  • Ability to stand on feet for more than 4 hours daily
  • Must be able to carry, lift, push and pull 40+ pounds


Quality Associate I- B
PERFORMANCE DIMENSIONS, TASKS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Writing, Updating and reviewing controlled procedures, policies and forms.
• Auditing Manufacturing and Training records
• Filing and reviewing manufacturing forms ( calibration data, daily check forms)
• Assisting in quality system development
• Producing trend reports from quality data
• Assisting in corrective and preventative actions
• Carrying out additional tasks per Quality Management

EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry ,Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field
• Or Equivalent Experience

WORK EXPERIENCE
• Experience working in a GMP environment preferred

• 1 year experience in the Quality Assurance is preferred
