Job Summary:

This Journey-level position under general supervision, works as a member of the CoE Shop to design, fabricate, assemble and test various precision laboratory, research instrumentation and equipment. This position also acts as a consultant to University researchers, Graduate and Undergraduate students to provide technical solutions for machining strategies, welding strategies, alternatives and material selection. Assist the Shop Supervisor in the CoE mandated formalized technical machine tool instructional program. This will include the development of educational materials (In house, Video & Online) and the presentation of these materials on an individual and formalized class basis. This position will also act as the CoE Student Shop welding coordinator and perform welding support for instruction in the College of Engineering as well as research.



Schedule Comment:

Flexible hours 8:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. (depending on shop needs) Monday through Friday, with some weekend work possible.
