Job Description
The Facility Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Facility Maintenance Worker II to join our team.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
* Driving a large box truck.
* Moving of office furniture, boxes and equipment.
* Delivering chairs, tables and other misc. items for planned events throughout the University.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess one year of general working experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
* Ability to keep records and complete forms accurately.
* Ability to apply mathematical concepts to complete tasks (example: measuring).
* Sufficient knowledge of proper use of equipment.
* Physical ability to perform work involving standing, stooping, operating equipment, and lifting of materials and equipment.
* Knowledge of appropriate safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.
* Valid driver's license and ability to drive a vehicle, and maintain coverage under University auto insurance policy, if required to drive University vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Stable employment record.
* This position requires performing work that involves standing, stooping, the operation of cleaning equipment, and lifting of trash and equipment
