Position Summary

Supervises Retail Food Services Union Food Court Operations Quick Service Restaurants (QSR’s); assists with and develops weekly specials; oversees the set up and service of late night dinning at QSR’s; manages the operation and maintenance for a variety of equipment within the operation; monitors daily food production and presentation in order to ensure that meals are served in conformance with prescribed menus, recipes, and quality standards; develops and implements training programs for support staff; receives customer concerns or suggestions and resolves them.  

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired from specialized training such as that acquired in two to three years of college, technical, vocational, trade or business school with coursework in a field related to the area of employment; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in performing tasks related to the area of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May require certification in the area of employment.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in food handling, food service production, planning, designing, and setting up special events; recipe development, and familiarity with food preparation equipment and cash register systems; experience with the supervision and training of support staff and the ability to manage multiple operational duties at the same time in a fast paced environment; strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Work Hours

4pm-1am Tuesday through Friday with alternating weekends within academic sessions. Non- academic sessions: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.
