Essential functions of this position:
This position will work closely with the Director of the Onslow Extension Site to analyze trends, set goals and develop/implement recruitment and yield activities for the Extension Site. This role will also participate in extension and main campus transfer admission activities both on and off campus, manage the transfer and special undergraduate admission selection and application evaluation process for an assigned group of applicants based on UNCW extension site, review and evaluate assigned group of transfer applications in line with established admissions requirements and deadlines, provide advising to prospective students with regard to transfer admission policies and procedures, transferability of credit, and graduation requirements based on pre-admission evaluation of credit, and coordinate transfer application process with academic divisions.
This position is responsible for a limited number of transfer recruitment activities that may include visits to regional community colleges and military installation education fairs.
This role will work closely with UNCW campus financial aid office in order to supply prospective students with appropriate information related to financial aid, scholarships and VA Educational Benefits and assist the Onslow Extension Site Director with administrative, program, and operational duties, including, but not limited to: marketing extension degree programs; developing and coordinating recruitment and retention events; organizing new student orientation; answering current and prospective student questions; serving as liaison with Coastal Carolina Community College Division of Student Services, MCB Camp Lejeune Education Center, and MCAS New River Education Center; assisting Extension advisors/faculty as needed; and, effectively working as a team with Extension staff.
N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:
Must be proficient in the University’s military admission policies and procedures and evaluation of military transcripts to determine admissibility
Must have a four year degree and knowledge of best practices in admissions and financial aid policies required
Ability to work with a diverse public constituency
Must have excellent communication skills, ability to supervise and manage resources, organizational planning and evaluation, including acute attention to detail
Position requires understanding of technology and the ability to utilize emerging technologies
Recruitment Range: $36,516 - $40,573
NC Salary Grade Equivalency: 67
Hours Per Week: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
Months Per Year: 12 Months
Work Days: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM, flexibility required
