Canada 150 Research Chair Positions in Health Informatics, Microbiome and Systems Immunology, Mechanisms of Concussion, or Cybersecurity

The University of Calgary invites applications from outstanding international scholars to fill new positions in four priority areas.

The University of Calgary invites applications from outstanding scholars living and working outside of Canada in four research areas:

  • Health Informatics
  • Microbiome and Systems Immunology
  • Mechanisms of Concussion
  • Cybersecurity

These full-time appointments will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor commencing no later than September 1, 2018. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made to an appropriate academic department or Faculty. Successful applicants will be nominated by the University of Calgary to the new Canada 150 Research Chairs Program ( The program aims to enhance Canada’s reputation as a global center for research excellence, in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary.  Expatriate Canadians wishing to relocate to Canada are encouraged to apply.

The University of Calgary’s nominees for the Canada 150 Research Chairs Program in the four areas will be outstanding scholars in their respective discipline as evidenced by their international reputation, major awards and external funding, and scholarly record of excellence and impact.
