This position will provide professional level support and coordination for the development, approval, and publication of web content on UWG sites. Other duties include training for the University’s web Content Management System (CMS) and content migration into CMS.
Bachelor’s degree in news media, journalism, communications or English or a related field AND two years of related experience OR a combination of education and related experience. Writing samples should be submitted at time of application. Significant interest in learning new computer skills and web technologies and willingness to put forth the effort to do so. Excellent skills in editing various types of web content ranging from general text content to specialized digital content. Must be able to work effectively both as a team member and independently. The ability to manage time and workload effectively, which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details and the ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information. Effective oral and written communication skills are a must.
A working knowledge of content management systems, such as Wordpress or OU Campus; Microsoft Office, web analytics, experience with social networking websites; knowledge and/or experience with HTML and CSS is a plus.
Salary $15.87 minimum to $22.38 midpoint
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
The ability to lift up to 25 lbs. This position may occasionally be required to work outside normal business hours (Mon – Fri, 8:00 am – ¬5:00 pm).
