Field Service Technician
As the front-line representative of Nu-Meat Technology to our customers, maintaining a professional, positive relationship with customers will be essential to your success as a Field Service Technician.
In this position, you can expect to travel approximately 80% of the time.
Tasks that will routinely be performed include Installation, Repair, Emergency Service, New Product Support, Maintenance, Customer Training and Sales Support.
The position requires an individual who is flexible and capable of dealing with sudden changes, such as client schedules and variations in priorities.
The candidate will typically leave from home on a daily or weekly basis and travel from site to site maintaining and repairing equipment, making sure the overall needs of each customer are met, and representing Nu-Meat Technology in a professional and experienced manner.
Communicating daily by phone and in person with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatch, lead service techs, and customers
Submitting work orders efficiently and accurately using company provided computer
Accurately recording time spent and parts used for each job
Assuming responsibility for quality repairs with minimal callbacks
Regularly observing customer sites and assessing customer needs.
Recommending additional products and services and working with account managers/sales representatives when appropriate
Adhering to all safety regulations
Nu-Meat Technology will provide training to well-qualified applicants. Professional experience with food safety, FDA compliance, hydraulic control systems, and electronic control systems is a plus.
Will reside in an area that is efficient for dispatch to customer sites nationwide
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude required.
Experience maintaining industrial equipment OR technical/mechanical certificate required
Must own a set of basic mechanics tools. Specialty tools will be provided.
Must be able to lift heavy mechanical components (50 lbs.) on a regular basis
Must possess a valid driver's license with good driving record.
Solid organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required
Computer literacy required
Positive attitude and well-groomed professional appearance required.
Must be a team player and possess excellent customer service skills.
Lifting 50-75 lbs with or without assistance
Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling
Working on and around a ladder/lifting equipment
Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery
