University Counseling Center
Provides direct psychological services to University students including individual, couples and group counseling; conducts clinical assessments and formulates diagnoses and treatment plans. Provides walk-in emergency assessments, crisis intervention and intakes for students. Provides clinical consultations to family members and campus community constituents. Completes intake summaries, psychological assessments, emergency evaluations, progress notes, termination summaries according to established policies and procedures. Participates on UCC and University committees, provides outreach presentations, program consultation, prevention programming. Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the director. Provides clinical supervision and/or training of trainees in our American Psychological Association (APA) Accredited Doctoral Psychology Internship, or in our Masters Internship and Practicum Program; may be involved in the presentation and leading of training seminars.
Doctorate, Professional - Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program. Must be licensed as a psychologist in the State of Florida (in accordance with Chapter 490, F.S.) or be able to obtain licensure within one year of employment in this position.
Preferred candidates will have significant experience in college counseling centers or clinics, strong clinical skills and demonstrated ability with outreach, consultation and suicide prevention programming. Also preferred is a demonstrated ability in and commitment to the training and supervision of master's and doctoral interns and practicum counselors. A track record of teamwork, collegiality, and leadership is valued in our Mentor-Apprentice Training Model. Demonstrated skills working with diverse students, faculty, and staff in a multicultural environment is preferred.
Anticipated Salary Range
The University Counseling Center will hire selected candidate at a salary commiserate with education and experience.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting.
