The Department of Neurology, Division of Neuro-Oncology is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as Medical Office Coordinator to provide general and clinical administrative support to the division. Duties include coordination of patient care, obtaining external scans, pathology specimens and patient records, filing and patient correspondence. Additional duties include data entry, telephone reception, customer service and support services to the clinical team such as coordinating meetings, providing clerical support for grant initiatives, coordinating licensure and credentialing documents, making travel arrangements, transcribing academic letters and preparing physician correspondence. This is a part-time position established at 32 hours per week.
Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one year administrative experience required. Preferred candidates will have 1-2 years of experience in a medical environment with knowledge of medical terminology and strong attention to detail and confidentiality. Successful applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Prefer candidates with knowledge of PowerPoint, Access, A2K3 and EPIC.
