Minimum $48,333 ANNUAL (12 months)

Degree and Area of Specialization:

M.S. in agronomy or a field related to production agriculture required, with an emphasis on organic and sustainable agriculture preferred.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

At least 5 years of relevant work experience required in the areas of agricultural program management, media production and/or instructional course design/delivery. Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication is required. Proficiency in hardware and software used for presentations, video production, social media, database management, and website construction is required. Must be able to collaboratvely coordinate, manage, and implement large-scale educational events. Experience working directly with agricultural producers strongly preferred. Successful grant-writing experience also strongly preferred. Must be willing to work individually as well as in collaboration with others.



Position Summary:

The Outreach Program Manager's primary responsibility will be to manage the Organic Grain Resources and Information Network (OGRAIN). Additional projects and responsibilities related to media-development and extension may also arise within the Silva Lab in the Department of Plant Pathology.
