The primary focus of this position will be studying the role of T Cell Receptor signaling in the development of protective immunity in infection and cancer. We use novel mouse models of infection and cancer to define the biochemical mechanisms involved in the generation of memory T cells. Prior experience working with mouse models of disease, tetON/Off conditional models, adoptive transfer, intravascular and retro-orbital injection, retroviral transduction, cloning, confocal microscopy, protein biochemistry, cell cultures and flow cytometry is desired. In addition, the candidate will participate in manuscript preparation, grant writing, and mentoring students and lab staff.
