Building Maintenance Helpers (Full-Time, Multiple Positions)
(A) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; OR
(B) One (1) year of experience in manual labor associated with the maintenance and repair of roads or streets or one (1) year of building cleaning experience, or one (1) year of experience in the building trades.
A Building Maintenance Helper's duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Performs routine manual work in repair, maintenance, or cleaning activities. The work requires physical endurance and willingness to perform routine and often strenuous tasks under various work conditions.
Assists in the cleaning and minor maintenance of buildings;
Assists with repairs to plumbing, steam lines, electric wiring, equipment, furniture, doors, windows,
hardware, ad varied mechanical equipment and machinery;
Mops and waxes floors and washes windows and walls;
Participates in snow removal activities and sanding of icy roads;
May occasionally operate a truck or other vehicle;
Other duties as assigned.
