The Department of History in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences of the University of Colorado Denver has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Senior Coordinator position.

Jobs in this career family provide direct professional support for the teaching and/or educational service mission of the university. Functions include academic advising/counseling, student personnel administration, recruitment and admissions, registration, financial aid, faculty affairs, library services, curriculum administration, and others involving direct support of the educational mission of an academic unit.
Senior Professionals are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic, administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field. Work is performed fully independently.
The National History Day in Colorado Senior Coordinator recruits, communicates with, manages, trains and tracks the 20,000+ participating Colorado elementary, middle and high school students, 300+ teachers, 1,000 judges and volunteers annually. They will work with the Director of NHDC in a close team to ensure the success of the program to include teacher training, regional contests, fundraising events, data management, production of reports and keen attention to detail. The candidate will need to be able to multi-task and work flexible hours. This is a full-time position.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position has been established at $40,125 to $55,000 and is commensurate with skills and experience.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation

A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and 2 years of professional level experience working with students and/or teachers in an academic environment.
Conditions of Employment:
Must be willing and able to work flexible hours in this position.
- Master's degree in related field.
- Experience in management, event planning, education, history, and/or fundraising.
- Experience with database management and analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
