Responsibilities

Works with teachers in the classroom to help students.
Supervises the classroom in teacher’s absence.
Completes paperwork under the teacher’s direction.
Substitutes for teachers grade K-12.
May fill in for other employees at the direction of the principal.
May include other student supervisory duties as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of post-high school education required.
Must have transportation and phone access.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree with experience working in a school setting.
Highly preferred: Florida Teaching Certificate

Other Information

Must be able to provide 3 professional references

Anticipated Salary Range

Teaching Assistant – starting at $10.25 per hour, up to $13.50 per hour based on qualifications.

Pay Plan

OPS/Temporary Job Paid Bi-Weekly

Schedule

Monday through Friday
Hours will vary accordingly to schedule.
This includes 180 school days for the pre-planning week.

Criminal Background Check

A level 2 fingerprint check is a condition of employment with the cost being the responsibility of the successful candidate. Re-certification is required at 5 year intervals (at the employee's expense).
