Join our team in this exciting time and help us develop the future of the University of North Texas System.The Human Resources (HR) Generalist proactively partners with managers, faculty and staff to address a variety of workplace issues. The primary focus of this role is to provide HR and Equal Opportunity (EO) support. The HR Generalist proactively partners with departments and leaders to address a variety of workplace issues in ways that support institutional strategic initiatives. This position is responsible for a variety of HR services in concert with the Centers of Excellence. This position report to the UNT Dallas Director of Human Resources and operates with considerable discretion within established guidelines. Coordinates work extensively with other members of Human Resources team.Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:* Supports campus Human Resources team in design, delivery and implementation of customer facing business and people solutions in conjunction with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs).* Establishes and maintains relationships between the Human Resources Department and institutional departments to help facilitate the success of the University?s mission and goals.* Provides guidance and coaching to business units on issues related to all areas of human resources management including: employee relations, organizational and staff development, talent acquisition, talent management and total rewards.* Identifies training needs for respective business units and facilitates training.* Manages and resolves complex employee relations and equal opportunity issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.* Manages campus ADA accommodation process.* Provides performance management guidance to respective business units (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).* Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.* Provides input and feedback that enhances the delivery of existing programs.* Partners with campus Human Resources team to diagnose organizational design, development or training needs and assists in implementing those services and programs.* Takes initiative, works independently, and effectively manages projects.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices.
