Essential functions of this position:
This position provides face to face and online support, specialized tool and software training, and general administration of both WebEx and ShareStream systems. This position also provides Blackboard Learning Management System support for both face to face classes and online classes. This position maintains support resources including documents and video tutorials. In addition to staying updated on technical support issues and obtaining up-to-date information regarding these web resources,this position will frequently work with direct vendor representatives to complete any upgrades or technical fixes. Projects and other long-term projects related to Blackboard, ShareStream, and WebEx are often led by this position.
N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Graduation from high school and one year in the field of technology related to the positions’ role. Computer coursework may be substituted year for year for the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:
Exhibits basic knowledge of technology principles and terminology associated with the work unit
Understanding of basic troubleshooting techniques and principles
Must have ability to apply various troubleshooting techniques while using multiple types of software, web applications, and hardware
Must have knowledge of current systems such as WebEx, ShareStream, Blackboard 9.1, Respondus, Camtasia, Tealvision
Preferred education, professional skills and experience:
Able to learn quickly and independently when it comes to using software, hardware, and various web applications
Proficient in Blackboard, Respondus, WebEx Enterprise, Blackboard, Microsoft Productivity, Camtasia, and able to learn quickly and independently when it comes to using software, hardware, and various web applications
Recruitment Range: $38,756 - $45,000
NC Salary Grade Equivalency: 63
Hours Per Week: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
