Description:


The Administrative Assistant II is an part-time position scheduled on an as needed basis up to 19 hours per week. Working closely with the Senior Vice President's office, the primary duties of the Administrative Assistant II will be providing clerical and administrative support for the Division of Academic & Student Affairs or as other wise directed: performing other related duties as assigned.


Salary

Commensurate with education and experience.



Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:


Minimum
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Excellent communication and human relations skills essential.
  • Ability to respond to various audiences accurately and calmly and make decisions under pressure and without immediate supervision; and ability to quickly assess needs and requirements of students and visitors.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in composition and punctuation.
  • Good typing skills.
  • Knowledge of database systems and desktop publishing software including PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word required.
  • Willingness to learn various PC applications.
  • Skill in the use of operating basic office equipment.
  • Strong commitment to multicultural ideals and valuing diversity goals essential.

Position may require local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus.
