The Office of Human Resources is seeking a Part-time Human Resources Assistant to work up to 19 hours per week. The Part-time Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for a variety of projects and duties including but not limited to:

  • Assist with documentation relating to new hires
  • Prepare various correspondence
  • Maintain and file documents for recordkeeping purposes
  • Assist Human Resources Manager with special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Salary: Hourly compensation commensurate with education and experience.

    Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-3 years' office experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills appropriate for all levels of an organization
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a college or university Human Resources office

    Physical Requirements

    Position may require local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing. Applicant must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

    Work Hours:
    Position may require non-standard work hours (nights and weekends). This is a part-time position up to 19 hours per week.
