Job Summary/Basic Function

The Visiting Clinical Faculty will be responsible for the administration, planning, and evaluation of counseling services provided at the Departmental training clinic: Community Counseling Family Therapy Center.

This is a 12-month appointment.



Minimum Education/Experience/Skills

Master's in Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.

Must be licensed or license eligible in Texas as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Counselor, or Psychologist.

Minimum 3 years experience in community mental health, private practice, or other related clinical experience including counseling services and program management.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills

Doctoral degree in Counselor Education, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.

Must be licensed in Texas as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Counselor, or Psychologist.

10 years experience in community mental health, private practice, or other related clinical experience including counseling services and program management.

Job Duties

Maintains electronic record keeping system (TItanium) for client records.

Provides on-stie supervision at the CCFTC to Practicum students in the CMHC and MFT programs.

Serve as the liaison with community agencies and professionals who provide information to the community about services offered in the clinic and develop relationships with community agencies to increase clientele in clinic.

Participates in the provision of crisis intervention services and consults with faculty/staff members about crisis situations.

Coordinates case management of CCFTC clients.

Responds to requests for reports or information about services and programs.

Identifies and obtains facilities and equipment to support the provision of clinic services.

Collaborates with clinical faculty to train graduate students and meet the mission of the Department.
