RESEARCH SPECIALIST C
Duties: A Research Specialist C position is available immediately in the Center for Cellular Immunotherapies in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Research Specialist C to support laboratory focused on preclinical animal studies of T cell adoptive immunotherapy of cancer. Major responsibilities will include: (1) Working with lab animal study group to support lab animal experiments. (2) Generating DNA constructs and testing the constructs for the preclinical studies (cell culture, Flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry): (3) Conducting downstream molecular analysis and mouse study(e.g. caliper measurements, subcutaneous and intraperitoneal injections); (4) The Research Specialist C will be trained to perform the duties described above and once trained will perform the duties under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager. This position also may involve work on weekends and University holidays.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Biology or related field and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's degree strongly preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Excellent organizational and record keeping skills are necessary.
