Job Summary:
Primary responsibility for support of faculty, administrators, and contractors in the Performing Arts Department. Assists students, staff, and visitors. Works collaboratively with the staff of the Mendel Center to support education through entertainment.

Essential Functions:
1. Responds to email and phone inquiries related to the Performing Arts Department.
2. Assists in coordinating setup and operations of concerts, recitals, festivals, drama productions, and other performing arts events.
3. Assists with recruiting endeavors related to the Performing Arts Department.
4. Communicates with Performing Arts faculty (full- and part-time, students, administrators, contractors, and other stakeholders on a myriad of topics.
5. Coordinates applied music lessons and serves as liaison between music students and applied music instructors.
6. Works closely with and assists the LMC Music Director with a variety of duties.
7. Organizes and inventories music libraries, theatre costumes, and other materials relevant to the Performing Arts Department.
8. Supervises Performing Arts work study students.
9. Contributes to decision-making in a productive manner.
10. Maintains the highest ethical standards in relationships with constituencies and business dealings with and on behalf of the College.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Under the direct supervision of the Performing Arts faculty, the Performing Arts Coordinator is responsible for providing quality administrative support within the Department of Performing Arts

Job Specifications:
Associate’s degree required. Two or more years of office/administrative support experience required; experience working with Performing Arts preferred. Strong computer and verbal communication skills required. Must possess good interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evening and/or weekend hours.

Grade: 5
Salary Range: Min. $13.66
