The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of autism with a focus on diagnosis, assessment, treatment planning, research assessment of children with autism, and supervision and be an expert in the diagnosis and treatment children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, with research training in gold standard diagnostic and assessment instruments. Responsibilities include directing the Penn Autism Clinic, which provides diagnostic and treatment planning services, conducting evaluations for autism spectrum disorders and co-morbid conditions, as well as comprehensive treatment planning evaluations to guide recommendations for accessing intervention services. In addition, the faculty member will provide supervision to interns and practicum students in psychology, as well as postdoctoral fellows and research assistants working on autism-related research. The person in this position will be responsible for developing and directing an APPIC-member internship. The faculty member also will lecture in the community to autism practitioners and families of individuals with autism. Experience with clinical supervision and staff management required. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care. License eligibility to practice in PA is required.
