Job Summary and Description 

 

The Computer Information Technologies program is accepting applications for full-time faculty to teach introductory and advanced level computer programming courses, including mobile application development. Programming languages include Python, C#, VB.Net, Objective C, Swift, XML, Java, and SQL. Familiarity with software testing concepts a must. Teaching assignments may include online, day, evening and/or weekend classes. The faculty will take a lead role in the development of programs that bring together faculty, students and business and industry supporting innovation in teaching and learning. The ideal candidate will be expected to work closely with business and industry and other program areas for course and curriculum development and potential grant opportunities. Additional responsibilities will include attendance at departmental and program curriculum planning meetings and meeting the requirements/responsibilities for full-time faculty per MAHE contract agreement.

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum two (2) years’ experience in related field; OR Associate's Degree and minimum four (4) years’ experience in related field

Preferred:

  • College teaching experience
  • Significant work experience in computer application programming
  • Programming experience in: Python, C#, Objective C, Swift, XML, VB.NET, SQL, JAVA
  • Experience with Software Testing
  • Experience with game programming and development
  • Experience with developing, writing, and managing NSF, DOL, DOE or similar grants

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Strongly Preferred: Software Tester ISTQB, PMP or Project +
