Duties: The position is for a research technician to work in a basic science laboratory in the field of neuroscience. The job is to provide all the required technical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively, while adhering to correct procedures and safety guidelines. The Research Technician will perform lab tests, document and maintain up-to-date protocol information. Handle and care of mice and organization of mouse colonies. The individual will be responsible for helping to set up a large laboratory; maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment. Previous experience in a biology lab is highly desired.
Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Majors in Biology or another related life science preferred. Experience with molecular biology and mouse handling is preferred but not required. Must have strong communication and organization skills, ability to work with people from different backgrounds and different levels, as well as ability to work independently.
