Duties: Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Advancement, Alumni Affairs and Communications, the Director of Communications is responsible for developing and
implementing a creative and comprehensive communications and marketing plan to enhance and broaden the reputation and awareness of the School of Veterinary
Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. The Director will create and implement visionary strategies to express Penn Vet s distinct leadership position to the
broadest possible audiences in support of the School's and the Dean's strategic objectives. The Director will manage the communications team and oversee the
production of a high volume of diverse communications to highlight the School's many achievements, creating key marketing messages, and connecting through
various modalities to its many and diverse constituents, as well as the public at large. The Director of Communications will serve in a central role within the School
contributing innovative ideas to the Dean and to colleagues on ways to achieve the School s goals and will work as a key leader of the Penn Vet Communications team to build Penn Vet's brand.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Major in English, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing required.
