SENIOR EVENT COORDINATOR
Job Summary This position is responsible for coordination of all Transportation & Parking Services special events. It will work closely with university entities involved in event management to ensure efficient coordination of events. Will coordinate internal & external vehicular and pedestrian way finding, schedule staff, arrange for traffic control, reserve special VIP parking spaces, assist the Police Department with security efforts and coordinate Charter Services for special events that require transportation. This position will manage significant and high profile special events to ensure smooth functioning of the event. Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing and coverage for all Special Event field operations. In relation to special events, ensure all Operations Staff follow University and Transportation & Parking Services policies and guidelines for cash handling, audit controls, and customer service. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree plus 5 years experience in planning, coordinating, and managing meetings and conferences; an equivalent combination of education, experience and training may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
