About The Unit:

Unit Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring adequate working stock of Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) materials in multiple warehouses (Central & Satellites) by monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock by purchasing from outside vendors and by internal warehouse transfers, while maintaining the materials inventory database and the required data entry transactions. This position also has the responsibility for receiving and stocking materials, supplies and equipment at Central Inventory, in addition to supporting the delivery of materials, supplies and equipment from the Central Inventory location to satellite warehouses, jobsites and other University locations. Principle Duties and Responsibilities 1. Maintain the integrity of the materials inventory database within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) by entering new materials, deleting obsolete materials and editing the current materials. ( 5%) 2. Maintain the standardization and accuracy of material descriptions, unit of measure, location codes, class codes, and commodity codes in the CMMS system. (5%) 3. Enter "accurate & timely" data for inventory transactions into CMMS including issues of materials, receipts, purchases, transfers and adjustments in order to perpetuate inventory shelf balances, ultimately, reconcile & resolve any "book to physical" variances. ( 10%) 4. Ensure adequate quantities of MRO working stock inventory is on hand in multiple warehouses (Central & Satellites) by monitoring and analyzing stock levels, stockouts, reorders, global inventory report and historical usage reports in CMMS. (10%) 5. In adherence to the procurement procedures for the Local Business Center (LBC) authority, expedite purchase orders for the required / requisitioned materials (stock & special-non stock ), supplies and equipment for both Central and Satellite warehouses, Facilities Services Project Management Group and other University Customers, all supported by accurate & timely data entry in all required University, CMMS and Vendor web-site systems. (30%) 6. Generate and process purchases for requisitioned Outside Services (time & material ). (5%) 7. Coordinates the communication and scheduling for delivery of materials, supplies and equipment from Central Inventory to designated external locations (i.e. Satellite warehouses job sites, other University sites). Works closely with the Inventory Runner and Recipients. (10%) 8. Receive delivery of freight, materials and supplies at the Central Inventory Warehouse, all supported by accurate & timely data entry in the CMMS system. Also, confirms delivery/receipt of materials and supplies for invoice verification. (10%) 9. Physically perform cycle counts as required to measure inventory accuracy. (5%) 10. Perform annual physical inventories as required. (5%) 11. Demonstrate Facilities Services philosophy by fostering a spirit of teamwork and customer service with Staff and Peers. ( Required 100% of time) 12. Other duties as assigned. (5%)
