The Davies lab is seeking a highly experienced researcher in the area of marine physiology/ecology/genomics. The duties include: high throughput extraction of DNA/RNA, generation of NGS libraries (DNA, RNAseq, 2bRAD, etc) for Illumina sequencing, physiological assays for fitness-related traits, conducting controlled seawater experiments using the APEX system, animal husbandry (corals, Symbiodinium cultures, snails) and lab managerial tasks including ordering of supplies. Experience in conducting common garden experiments using the APEX system and laboratory management experience is required. Additional tasks include mentoring undergraduate volunteers, assisting in the maintenance of experimental animals and algae and laboratory supply ordering/maintenance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Science or Environmental studies. Open Water Scuba certified.
