Sales and Marketing Assistant
Stanford University Press is seeking a talented Sales and Marketing Assistant to provide routine administrative or operational support working from detailed instructions.CORE DUTIES*: Answer phones, and serve as a resource on unit procedures and general inquiries from authors or vendors.
Disseminate routine communications such as memos, notices, emails, and letters.
Perform office duties including, but not limited to, handling of incoming and outgoing mail, entering data into basic tables, reports, database, or spreadsheets, and making copies.
Assist in the creation of sales materials for new and forthcoming books.
Serve as a liaison with bookstores and private customers.
May provide guidance to temporary and student employees on routine matters.
*- Other duties may also be assigned
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Other Relevant Education May Include:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic computer skills and demonstrated experience with office and database software and email applications.
Ability to follow through and complete assigned tasks.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl.
Other Relevant Physical Requirements May Include:
Lift/Carry/Push/Pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds
