The University Union at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Administrative Coordinator to join our team. The Administrative Coordinator I performs a wide variety of administrative, secretarial, and program support activities on behalf of the Union Director, Associate Directors and other administrative staff. The individual serves as primary point of administrative contact for Union administration. The position requires strong computer skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of administration, students and staff. Sensitivity to confidential matters is required. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Greet and direct visitors; answer phones and take messages; answer questions. * Arrange and coordinate meetings, including managing calendars. * Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms. * Participate in the coordination, supervision, and completion of special projects and/or events. * Book travel arrangements, create and submit related reports. * Manage capital inventory items, locations, numbers, etc. and coordinate annual inventory reporting * Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. * Reviews, routes, and prioritizes mail. * Serves on the Union Board of Directors in a support capacity. The successful candidate will possess an Associate's Degree and three years of office administration experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
