Description of Responsibilities: 

The Assistant Director of Logistics primary responsibility is to insure that the campus’s physical property is safe and well maintained, provide leadership and training for staff and ensure the campus has an effective maintenance and improvement program in place. Will also assist in the planning, prioritizing and supervision of logistics, vehicles and equipment, campus grounds, storage and projects. Responsibilities also include managing the day-to-day operations of: Grounds; Fleet Garage; Stock Room/Stores; Mail Room; Trucking; and Facilities Storage

In addition, will be expected to display a commitment to undergraduate and/or graduate education, and possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Business, Logistics or Planning, or related area
  • Experience in supervision and planning, inventory control, maintenance
  • In-depth knowledge in facilities operations
  • Five years of experience with at least two years of supervisory responsibilities
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems and competence with Microsoft Office software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Planning
