PART-TIME INSTRUCTOR, SMALL AND MEDIUM FIRM EXTERNSHIP COURSE, School of Law (9788/F2817)
Boston University School of Law is hiring a part-time adjunct instructor to develop and teach the Law School's new Small-Medium Law Firm Externship Course. Work will begin immediately to recruit partner law firms and supervisors at suitable placements, with the course component launching in Spring 2018. The instructor will develop and teach the course's one semester seminar in both the fall and spring semesters; this will focus on illuminating the major legal and professional issues that arise in the practice and management of small and medium-sized law firms, as well as the skills needed to succeed in such firms. The instructor will also oversee the externship placements for participating students during both semesters, including initial and ongoing outreach to secure participation in the course.
The ideal candidate for this position will have prior teaching experience, be a skilled supervisor, and have practiced in a small or medium sized law firm.
