Job description

Duties: The Senior Director of the Deputy Dean's Office partners with the Deputy Dean in the overall management of faculty affairs and academic division of the School. The Senior Director oversees daily operations of the office, manages priorities, supervises staff, prepares communications, and independently handles projects. The senior director represents the Deputy Dean in his duties with the faculty, senior administrators, Office of the President and the Provost, and external constituents including donors. This position works closely with the Dean's Chief of Staff in the administrative overlap between the Dean and Deputy Dean. This position requires sensitivity about confidential matters, excellent communication and analytic skills, and a high level of knowledge about faculty affairs and academic administration.

Qualifications: A Master's Degree or more and 7 years to 10 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Higher education experience required. Experience in faculty affairs or full understanding of the complexity of faculty positions is highly desired. Outstanding writing, negotiation and communication skills required. A professional presentation is necessary. Proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with individuals from all levels and walks of life.
