Required Qualifications: MD or equivalent. Board Certified in Internal Medicine; Board Certified or Eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
Responsibilities & Requirements: The Division of Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Medicine is seeking a Pulmonologist to become involved with an expanding program of patient care, teaching, and academic study with a focus on critical care. The incumbent will have a strong academic background and will have an opportunity to conduct both independent and collaborative research.
At University Hospital the Division runs a closed 20 bed Medical Intensive Care Unit and busy inpatient and outpatient consultative services. In addition our Division offers the following areas of clinical specialization: Pulmonary Hypertension Center, Lung Cancer Evaluation Center, Interventional Pulmonary, and Sleep Disorders Center. Faculty engage in state-of-the-art research in aerosolized drug and delivery systems, pulmonary inflammatory cytokines, cardiac arrest resuscitation, sleep-related somatic syndromes and outcomes research in critical care.
To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine ( School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure ).
Special Notes: Tenure track will depend on experience and qualifications . FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
