Assistant Director/Director of Gift Planning
The Assistant Director/Director of Gift Planning will be responsible for managing a portfolio of 75-125 College-identified major gift prospects, including alumni, parents, and friends of the College with $25,000+ capacity. Responsible for soliciting a minimum of $1,000,000 in major gifts annually.
Successful candidates will demonstrate competitive drive, strong interpersonal skills, integrity, and accountability. Flexible schedule, based on the campus of Lake Forest College, 30 miles north of Chicago. Travel throughout the U.S. 1-2 times per month on average.
A bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of fundraising or relevant experience required. Ability to relate to a wide variety of constituents and solicit donations face to face. High level of initiative and drive to succeed. Strong negotiation, organizational, and fundraising skills. Ability to travel and work outside of normal business hours as needed.
