Nursing Faculty, Simulation Lab Coordinator, one year position
This full time 9 month faculty position will start August, 2017 and is a one year term opening. The Nursing Faculty Simulation Lab Coordinator assumes primary responsibilities of the nursing learning/simulation lab which includes the following activities: teaching (classroom or clinical), administration, supervision of students and simulation learning experiences. This position is directly responsible for the incorporation of advanced technology into simulation experiences as well as the creation of simulation experiences that will assist students with critical thinking in major nursing specialty areas. This position will report directly to the Director of Nursing Education and will also be a collegial member of the nursing faculty team. Teaching responsibilities expected of all faculty include: teaching course load as assigned, evaluate courses and assess student learning, meet established course, program and learning outcomes, comply with guidelines and policies, maintain office hours per established standards, develop rapport with students, assist with and participate in advising, orientation and registration activities. Some travel and weekend hours may be required. CMC Faculty are expected to engage in scholarly and creative activities that enhance discipline expertise and enhance learning. Service activities such as campus and college committees, participate in relevant projects, mentor peers, participate in and assist with assessment activities, program review, student organization, recruiting and retention. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to working in a culturally competent environment and the ability to effectively work with students, employees, and community members of diverse backgrounds. Bilingual or conversational Spanish language skills may be helpful. Requirements: Master’s degree in Nursing, will consider MSN in progress if completion date is on or before August 1, 2017; active unencumbered Colorado Nursing license or the ability to obtain a Colorado Nursing license. Experience required: 2,000 occupational hours within the past five years. Teaching experience preferred. Salary range $64,006 - $76,136 depending on education and experience.
