The Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Toronto invites applications for a one-year contractually-limited term appointment in Statistical Sciences. This appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream and is expected to begin on September 1, 2017 and end on August 31, 2018.

Candidates must have a graduate degree in actuarial science, statistics, biostatistics or related discipline by the time of appointment. Candidates must have significant experience in teaching a variety of courses in either actuarial science or statistics and are required to demonstrate evidence of excellence in teaching, including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and development of online material/lectures. Evidence of excellence in teaching can be demonstrated by strong letters of reference, teaching evaluations and teaching accomplishments highlighted as part of the application. Evidence of engaging in pedagogical scholarship, experience teaching large classes and using innovative technology is an asset.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
