Department Overview
The Faculty of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of North Texas System College of Pharmacy (UNT-SCP) will contribute to the development of the educational, research, and service programs of the Department. The faculty will report to the Chair of the Department. The faculty of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences will provide expertise toward the basic sciences side of the pharmaceutical sciences such as pharmaceutical discovery, formulation and delivery.

Position Details
The Pharmaceutical Sciences Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Assistant/Associate Professor to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

* Works under the leadership of the Chair to implement and continuously improve the PharmD curriculum as it relates to the basic pharmaceutical sciences components of professional pharmacy education.
* Contributes to a culture of scholarly excellence within the Department through research that ensures that the faculty member remains on the cutting edge of their chosen areas of research and scholarly activity relevant to the future of pharmacy.
* Contributes to the graduate program track in pharmaceutical sciences leading to a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
* Contributes to a culture within the Department that works in close cooperation with faculty of other Schools/Colleges at the UNTHSC to provide interprofessional education that meets the needs of a diverse population of Texas for effective partnerships in health and therapy.
* Contributes to service efforts that enhance the quality of pharmacy education and research in Texas and nationwide.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

* A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Depending upon the level of appointment, successful candidates must show potential for or have demonstrated a record of excellence as an educator and scholar and the potential for or record of sustained extramural research support.
