About The Unit:

Unit Job Summary: The Graduate Medical Education Administrator: The Graduate Medical Education Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the ACGME Diagnostic Radiology residency program, the new Interventional Radiology residency program, oversight of the five fellowship training programs, management of the CME activities of the department, and management of the Radiology GME office staff. The Administrator assists the Program Directors in developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training programs and ensuring compliance with ACGME accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements. The Administrator functions as a liaison between the Program Directors, residents/fellows, GME Office, participating sites, and other departments, and must be knowledgeable about patient care/operational activities at the various training sites in which their residents/fellows rotate. 20% The Administrator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the radiology residency program, interventional radiology residency program, and five fellowship programs. Works with Program Directors to enforce ACGME requirements, UCMC GME policies and procedures, and develop program policies and procedures based on external requirements. 20% Administer the MedHub Residency Management System for the programs, including maintaining resident/fellow demographics data; resident/fellow schedules, importing program and rotation goals and objectives; conferences attendance tracking; and ensuring timely completion of duty hours and evaluations. 20% Manage the annual resident recruitment and selection process; also collaborates with PDs to establish policies and procedures for candidate recruitment. 10% Manage all educational activities that support the program's curriculum and adheres to ACGME requirements. 10% Manage accreditation activities including ACGME Site Visits, Internal Reviews, annual program reviews, etc. 10% Manage accreditation activities and annual CME activities (i.e. Annual Radiology Review Course) 5% Manage all aspects of the housestaff payroll in Oracle (new hires, extra service payments, terminations, etc). 5% Assist the PD and faculty in planning, developing, and implementing residency/fellowship program quality improvement projects.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of two years progressively responsible administrative experience OR a minimum of five years progressively responsible administrative experience required. Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field preferred.

Unit Experience: Supervisory experience preferred. Experience working with an ACGME training program preferred. Experience managing CME meetings preferred. Project management experience preferred.
