Position Summary

The Information Technology (IT) Analyst reports directly to the Clinical Data and Technology Manager who is responsible for overseeing the data management and IT departments at the Duke Reading Center. The position requires knowledge of computer systems hardware, software qualification and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

Information Technology (IT) Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 1 desktop level support to Reading Center users
  • Perform daily server maintenance
  • Install and setup new computer work stations
  • Respond to and resolve DRC employee computer hardware and software issues
  • Perform and document routine systems backups and test recovery
  • Assist with the procurement of all DRC IT equipment
  • Assist with management of licensing across all applications and systems
  • Configure, qualify, and support all internal review software as directed
  • Remain up to date on industry trends and standards
  • Address day-to-day Duke Reading Center technology issues
  • Assist with preparation of reading center publications
  • Maintain relationships with Duke Reading Center vendors
  • Collaborate with other departments within Duke, when necessary
Site Instrumentation Software Technical Support
  • Create and/or review submission instructions for images based upon the type of machinery required for the modality
  • Support clinical study sites on issues related to imaging equipment and submission
  • Install, document, qualify, and support grading related applications
  • Assist with development of user manuals and study sit submission instructions as requested
Data Management Activities
  • Assist with, perform and document database validation activities
  • Assist with coordination of data management activities
  • Serve as DM backup if the Clinical Data and Technology Manager is not available

Education
