The Department of Medical Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of Missouri (MU) School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. A doctoral degree in medical or biomedical sciences (PhD, MD or DVM) is required. Applicants must demonstrate strong records of academic accomplishments with NIH-supported research programs. Expertise in research focusing on neural control of the cardiovascular system is strongly preferred. Experience in vascular immunology or cellular/molecular mechanisms of inflammation will also be considered.

The Department consists of 23 core faculty members with strong research expertise in the microcirculation, vascular biology, cardiac function, kidney injury, and membrane transport. Investigators have access to state-of-the-art core laboratories in microscopic imaging, electrophysiology, histology, animal facilities, genomics and proteomics. Opportunities are available for interaction with MU’s Dalton Cardiovascular Research Center, Bond Life Sciences Center, and Institute for Clinical and Translational Science. Ph.D. or equivalent degree in physiology or pharmacology, or related field
