Position Summary:

To teach and advise first-year students. Courses include but not limited to English 131, English131L, and English 150

Responsibilities:               

  • To provide academic instruction in English courses.
  • To develop a syllabus and instructional objectives which promote student creativity.
  • To develop and administer pre and posttests during the first week of class.
  • To provide evidence of interest in research and publication.

Candidate must be knowledgeable in various learning platforms like Blackboard and CAMS. Candidate must demonstrate familiarity with Smart classrooms.

Office hours and student conferences are required.

        

Qualifications:

 

 

 

 

Master’s Degree in English or related field required; Ph.D. preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Standing, squatting, and able to lift or move at least 25 pounds.
