Description:
The Events and ID Coordinator within the Office of Business Services will be a member of the team that is responsible for the successful planning and operations of events held at the college, as well as supporting the maintenance of card access and IP based technologies. This individual will contribute to the efficient and effective management of functions within Business Services.
The Events and ID Coordinator will serve as a key campus administrator for the College's Event Management System (EMS) and is responsible for facilitating the process of reserving venues across the campus. Management of this system requires frequent support for colleagues who utilize EMS as well as high level of competency in managing virtual platforms. The Events and ID Coordinator will be responsible for the creation, management and distribution of building schedules for the Boston Campus.
The Events and ID Coordinator will support the Card Office by coordinating all carding events, assist in the distribution of replacement cards and arranging all vendor access. She/he will work in conjunction with the Manager of ID card services to maintain all card access and IP based technologies. She/he will be the primary campus contact for ID and access changes. She/He will be responsible for managing the inventory of all carding supplies and equipment.
The Events and ID Coordinator will support the summer conference program by programing all Summer ID cards, as well as coordinating the use of non- residential space for off campus guests. She/He will also assist in the management and supervision of student employees.
The Events and ID Coordinator is expected to maintain strong partnerships with a multitude of campus constituents including, Information Technology, Networking, Admissions, Alumni Development, Emerson College Police, and Student Life. As such the She/He will ensure superior customer service to all parties and will work with event planning staff, and informational technology staff to develop policies and procedure that provide a superior experience. She/He will work closely with catering services on campus help facilitate the needs of clients.
The Events and ID Coordinator will coordinate, assist and manage assigned College events with an emphasis on detail and outcomes. She/He will determine approach, set/up breakdown timeline as well as communicate the needs of each function to all appropriate internal departments. She/He is responsible for managing the inventory of campus event spaces.
The Events and ID Coordinator will provide general oversight to the office while supporting all areas within Business Services.

Campus Location: Boston Campus

Required Knowledge:
Bachelors Degreee, knowledge of Event Management Systems

Preferred/Desirable Knowledge:
knowledge of card access systems and IP based technologies

Required Prior Work Experience:
2-4 years appropriate or applicable experience at /in College level environment, particularly related to space and events management, property management or facilities management.
