Assistant Director- Business Systems Analyst

The Assistant Director for Business Systems is responsible for the efficient and timely management of technology-related projects within Enrollment Management. Reporting to the Associate Director for Business Systems, this position will be primarily tasked with the maintenance, enhancements of existing systems focused on solving business problems within the department.
Typical tasks include training staff in the use of Slate, responding to requests for technical assistance, and evaluating proposals for system enhancements. This position will work closely with our Admission Operations Team, Undergraduate and Graduate Admission staff, the Financial Aid office, and other partners on-campus.

Required Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree Be able to work largely independently and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders Ability and willingness to learn new systems and technologies Ability to prioritize tasks and must have excellent organizational skills Superior communication, documentation, multi-tasking, and presentation skills Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Preferred/Desirable Knowledge:
Knowledge of the operations and processing within an Admission Office.

Required Prior Work Experience:
2-4 years in a similar role

Job Duties:
  • Maintain our technical requests tracking database Develop a process for evaluating and prioritizing new system enhancements Assists with email campaign implementations and query development Audit security protocols and user access Liaison with other departments for expansion of the use of Enrollment systems and for data integrations
  • Provides end user support and training of new and upgraded applications
  • Assist with the development of testing plans and quality assurance of system enhancements
